The bits that don’t fit on a CV: snow, wind, water, a family that makes things, and five cats.

What cool shit are the Philandrianos up to?

Dad · Dubai

Fabian PhiL makes pop art that moves.

My dad is a French artist working in Dubai. He paints portraits and cultural icons across several layers of plexiglass, so the image shifts as you walk past it. The frame here is my (much cruder) homage: move across it.

Recent shows include Beyond the Gaze at the Alliance Française Dubai.

Brother · French & Swiss Alps

Morgan is an up-and-coming mountain guide.

My brother spends his time in the French and Swiss Alps, working his way up as a mountain guide. Rock, ice, ridges, ski touring, very early starts: his Instagram is the place to follow along.

A direct enquiry route will go here once Morgan chooses one.

  • Night view from a bivouac high on a mountain, a sleeping bag in the foreground above a sea of clouds.
  • A climber on an overhanging rock wall with two belayers below.
  • A climber high on a sunlit granite ridge above snow.
  • A ski tourer in a red jacket crossing a wide glacier under blue sky.
  • Black-and-white photo of a roped mountaineer with an ice axe in a whiteout.
