- When
- April 2026
- Where
- XRPL Commons Hackathon, Paris
- Team
- Team project · 24 hours
- My role
- Pushed the team to a stronger use case; built much of the Next.js, API and SDK prototype
- Built with
- Next.jsZKPassportZero-knowledge proofsXRPL TestnetDIDs
Embeddable verification flows using ZKPassport proofs and the XRPL Testnet, designed to confirm attributes such as age without revealing a full identity.
01Chapter
The problem
Our first ideas used a blockchain because the theme said so, not because the chain added anything. About six hours and two pivots in, we landed on private attribute verification, where it does.
02Chapter
What I did
- Challenged the weak early directions and helped align the team on the stronger use case.
- Spent most of the build on Next.js, API routes, the ZKPassport SDK integration and embeddable verification flows.
- Focused on making verification easy for a business to drop into its own checkout.
03Chapter
What the team did
- Explored and pivoted together, then shipped a working prototype inside 24 hours.
04Chapter
Afterwards
I later pitched ApprovID to founders and ecosystem teams at Paris Blockchain Week and kept building relationships in the industry afterwards.
